Jerome "Grandpa Jerry" Roman Schleh

Jerome “Grandpa Jerry” Roman Schleh, age 78, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Thursday evening, July 8, 2021 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Jerry was born on September 13, 1942 in Manitowoc, son of the late Roman and Margarette (Kieffer) Schleh. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School and served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Jerry married his former wife Caryl in New Holstein. Jerry worked as a meat cutter at Fairview Grocery Store, a machinist for Kohler Company and at Bay Ship in Sturgeon Bay. He enjoyed woodworking and drinking beer, especially Old Style, and Southern Comfort. Above all, Jerry loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his children: Richard (Schleh) Arnoldussen, Tammie (Ron) Kruse, Dean Arnoldussen, Shelly (Gary) LaViolette, Robin (Stacy) Arnoldussen; eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his siblings: Robert (Ann) Schleh, James (Carol) Schleh, William (Mary) Schleh, Dorothy (Dennis) Ninmer. Nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his son: Daniel Schleh; his parents; and good friend: Dave LaViolette.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home (928 S. 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Military Rites will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
