With deep sadness, we announce the passing of JoAnne M. Holly on May 7, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin June 30, 1946 to Frank and Grace Kulpa (Frasch). JoAnne was a graduate of Washington High School in 1964.
JoAnne spent much of her life in Two Rivers and later enjoyed spending her summers in Door County, where she found great happiness gardening and fishing. She was a devoted Milwaukee Brewers fan, an exceptional cook, and had a lifelong passion for fishing and the outdoors. She enjoyed deer hunting, mushroom picking, gardening, golfing, metal detecting, collecting, and exploring history.
A talented musician, she played the organ and piano professionally for many years. She loved music and dancing. She also worked as a commercial fisherman for many years and Vinton Construction for 25 years.
Above all, she will be remembered for her strong spirit, sense of humor, love of family, and the many memories she created with those who knew and loved her. Her stories, laughter, and unique personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She shared a special bond with her beloved dog Jasper, affectionately known as her “little boy,” who passed away in 2024. His ashes will be laid to rest with his mom.
She is survived by her dear daughter, Deanne P. Wells. Her loving grandchildren, Amanda (Harley) Mathews, and Michael Laurel. Her dearest great-granddaughter, Sophia. She is survived by her partner, Barry Ertman; brothers, John (Betty) Kulpa; Kenneth (Patty) Kulpa; Steve (Julie) Kulpa; Frank (Marissa) Kulpa; and sister, Eileen Weina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Grace (Frasch) Kulpa; her husband, Thomas E. Holly; her sister, Mary Lou Messman.
May calm waters and peaceful skies forever surround her spirit.
