Joanne L. (Staalson) Vogt

Joanne L. Vogt, age 87, of Two Rivers passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Two Rivers.

Joanne was born November 21, 1934 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Elsa (Marquardt) Staalson.  She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School and continued her education and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Education.

Joanne was an elementary school teacher her entire career.  She enjoyed playing bridge and socializing with her friends.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will be missed by many.   

Survivors include:  two sons, Joseph Vogt of Rogers, Arkansas and Andrew (Tina) Vogt of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Nicole and Eric Vogt; her partner of many years, Lee Klatt of Two Rivers; as well as other relatives and friends.  Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Elsa Staalson and her sister Shirley Mrotek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.  Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Hintz with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc following services.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
