John Karnofsky Obituary

John Elmer Karnofsky, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on November 3rd 1956 peacefully passed away at home in Manitowoc Wisconsin on March 13th 2024. John’s humor and larger than life spirit would always light up the room.

He is survived by his two daughters, Samantha Karnofsky & Elizabeth OConnor (husband Chris OConnor), his sister Joni Karnofsky (husband Steve Hartman), his two grandchildren Nickolis Franklin Elmer Lillman & Christopher OConnor, and his three nieces and Crystal Karnofsky, Jennifer Tomtschik (husband Alex Tomtschik), Melissa Karnofsky and one nephew Andy Karnofsky (wife Laura Karnofsky). He is preceded in death by his father and mother Elmer & Eileen Karnofsky and his brother Jim Karnofsky.

John’s contagious personality has made him lifelong friends wherever he went. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping and fixing anything he could get his hands on. His love of nature kept him outside with every available opportunity. As he fishes on heaven’s sky-blue waters, he will be deeply missed here on earth.
