John Frank Phillips

John F. Phillips, age 70, of rural Two Rivers entered eternal life on Thursday, November 18th, 2021.

John was born November 1, 1951, in Waukesha, WI to the late Bernard and Mildred (Joy) Phillips. He spent the first half of his life farming with his family in both the Pewaukee and Reeseville areas. In June 1989, John along with his parents, moved to Two Rivers in order to work with his sister and brother-in-law's new business, Seal Fab. He continued to work there (now Classic Coatings) until his retirement in 2013. The move was life changing as he soon met his life partner, Barb Pietroske! One of his favorite places to be was in the living room with Barb enjoying the fireplace and a good action movie. John enjoyed anything fast, especially 30's to 40's Hot Rods and motorcycles! He and Barb enjoyed many rides together on their Harley. John also had a love for horses and was a master pool player. John's greatest trait was his love for family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand, whether it was helping with a move, offering their home to host parties or anything anyone needed. Although he didn't have children of his own, his love for family was evident as he cared for his nieces and nephews as if they were his children.

Survivors include: the Love of his life and partner of 30 years, Barb Pietroske; one sister, Mardell (Kim) Emslie of Helenville, WI; step daughters, Lori (Ryan) Gilbert of Manitowoc, WI and Vicki (Andrew Stefanek) of Hobart, WI; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews: Joy, Brian, Jenny, Tracy, Kevin, Heather, Angela and Holly. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Backler and two brothers, Bernard Phillips Jr. and Charles Phillips.

John's Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Mishicot Ambulance and Two Creeks EMT’s.

Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may greet the family for a time to remember and celebrate John’s life on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd Street, Two Rivers from 1-3pm.  Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers at a later date.
