Judith LeClair Obituary

Judith Kay was embraced in God’s arms at 5:12 p.m. on June 15, 2021 in her home surrounded by her children and family. Judy was born on July 9, 1939 at 512 Caroline Street, Neenah WI to George and Mildred Larson, making them parents for the first time. If anyone knows our mom, you would know the importance of the number 512 and the great meaning it carried in her heart and for her to pass at 5:12 p.m. is breathtaking.

All Judy ever wanted in life was to be a mom. She made a home for her family with wonderful meals, delicious desserts (especially her chocolate cake with thick chocolate frosting and first day of school requests such as cherry pie), countless cuddly dogs, and cozy decorations that included antique dolls and bears and lots of homemade craft projects.

Christmas was her favorite season – she made the home into a magical place with evergreen and berry decorations that remained up all year. Outside was a winter wonderland when the pond was cleared to make a skating rink, next to a huge sledding hill where many friends spent time tobogganing and snowmobiling (along with swimming and fishing in the summer off the raft and dock).

She was a gifted writer and artist, whether it was with water colors like her father, the pencil or ink sketches of her famous Christmas cards, cartoons, bookmarks for every book she ever bought or emails with different fonts and formatting (always with a borrowed stock image or original scanned artwork). She loved all types of music and passed along the permission to listen to it “cranked up” even in her last days.

The memoir she penned of her childhood “From the Front Porch” in Neenah at 512 Caroline Street was printed and gifted to family and friends as a keepsake to treasure and pass along to the great grandkids.

Her faith in Jesus and love of bible study brought the light of hope and love to anyone she met. Spending any amount of time with Judy meant you were included in her warm family because of her tender heart and witty sense of humor.

Judy is survived by her children, Debi Perrault (Appleton), Terri (Tom) Goudy (Neenah), Amy (Dan) Fessler (Manitowoc) Katie LeClair and her partner Kelly (Minneapolis, MN), Jon-Paul (Tracy) LeClair (Oshkosh).  Also survived were her 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her siblings John (Pat) Larson (Appleton), Jean (Chris) Kordus (Appleton), Mark (Jean) Larson (Neenah)

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leo J. LeClair, her parents George and Mildred Larson and her grandson Samuel T. Goudy, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will hold a private memorial celebration this summer.

In lieu of flowers, please send condolences to Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, WI in memory of Judy LeClair.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, especially her nurse Cariann and also her grandson Jeremy Fessler and fiancé Sammi Leischner for all their loving care.

From her memoir: “To my children…who gave me the most joy one can have…I want you all to shrink down to being young again…So I can do it all over again…only better” – Mom
