Judy L. (Herrmann) Skrepenski-Laabs

Judy L. (Herrmann) Skrepenski-Laabs, age 56 of Manitowoc Rapids, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County. She was surrounded by her loving husband and sister, JoAnn.

Judy was born on April 23, 1968 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Melvin and Florence (Lensmeyer) Herrmann. She graduated from Manitowoc Linocln High School with the class of 1986. On July 18, 2012 she married her partner for life, Dave Laabs. Judy was employed with Jagemann Stamping and Manitowoc Tool & Mfg. for 29 years. In addition, in 2012 Judy and Dave started a trucking business where she handled all office duties. She enjoyed playing Sheepshead, watching football, and most importantly hanging out in the “situation room” with friends and family. They will so ever be missed. 

Survivors include her husband: Dave Laabs; two stepsons: Brandon (special friend Lindsay), and Bryce; siblings include: Allan (Sue) Herrmann, JoAnn (Shawn) Seefeldt, Joyce Herrmann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jeff Braunel, Dan (Melissa) Laabs, Naomi (Shawn) Sadowski; mother-in-law: Audrey Laabs; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Melvin and Florence Herrmann; brother: Kenny Herrmann; sister: Jean Braunel; father-in-law: Marvin Laabs.

A celebration of Judy’s life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
