Karen Lee Morton of Manitowoc, 78, died peacefully at home with family by her side, on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
Karen was born February 26, 1944, in Merrill, daughter of the late Ernest and Alice (Woller) Zahn. Karen graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln HS in 1961. In October, 1987, she married Bruce Morton in Manitowoc. Karen owned and operated The Stamp Works for many years, until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with and caring for her kids and grandchildren, reading, genealogy, woodworking and gardening. She was also an active member of the EAA Manitowoc Chapter #383. She did NOT enjoy too much sunshine or PEPPER.
Karen is survived by her husband: Bruce of Manitowoc; two daughters: Jeri Olm, and Gina (Elliot) Christenson of Green Bay; two sons: Kirk Morton of Neenah, Christopher (Cheryl) Morton of Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Kyle, Ben and Max Christenson, Corinna Wanish, and Kate Elkin; great-grandchildren: Zoe Christenson and Emerys Miller; honorary great-grandchild Violet DeBaets. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Karen was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Alice Zahn; siblings: Lorraine, Stanley, Lucretta, Ardina, Luella, Arthur, Maxine, Alfred and Gerald.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center (Peace United Church of Christ), 3613 Waldo Blvd, Manitowoc.
