Kathryn M. Prowls

Kathryn M. Prowls, age 83 of Manitowoc, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Aurora medical Center, Manitowoc County.

Kathryn was born March 21, 1940, in Stanley, ND, daughter of the late Eldon and Verna (Trudel) Tosdale. She attended school in Kingsford, MI, graduating with the class of 1957. In 1960 she graduated from Holy Family Nursing School. On November 5, 1960, she married James F. Prowls in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 30, 2014. Kathryn worked at the Rainbow House in Manitowoc until her retirement.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Tracy (Toni) Prowls, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Michael (Amy) Whittle, TX, Sarah (Gary) Clifton, TX, Tim II Prowls, Manitowoc, John (Amanda) Prowls, Manitowoc, Adam (Lindsey) Prowls, Manitowoc; seven great grandchildren: Megan, Bonnie, Brodie, Wyatt, Eldon, Lilli, and Annabelle; five brothers and three sisters-in-law: Richard Tosdale, WA, Robert (Connie) Tosdale, MI, Jack (Julia) Tosdale, OR, Thomas (Joyce) Tosdale, AZ, William Tosdale, MI; nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by Eldon and Verna Tosdale; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Paul (Matilda) Prowls; husband: James Prowls; two sons: Mitchell Prowls and Tim Prowls.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th St, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
