LeRoy F. Trochil

LeRoy F. Trochil, age 94, of Manitowoc, passed away Tuesday evening July 26, 2022, at Shady Lane Home.

LeRoy was born on March 6, 1928, in Manitowoc, son of the late William and Viola (Zeman) Trochil. He grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1946 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Following high school LeRoy entered the United States Army serving from June 19, 1946, until April 23, 1948, in the South Pacific. On August 26, 1950, LeRoy was married to Lorraine T. Novack at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He worked for Manitowoc Shipbuilding and Manitowoc Engineering for over 40 years as a crane operator. LeRoy enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include his wife: Lorraine Trochil, Manitowoc; his three children: Judy Trochil, Manitowoc, Bob Trochil, Appleton, and Bill (Candy) Trochil, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Dan (Kristin) Trochil, Greenville, Kevin Trochil and Amanda Mae Hopfensperger, Grand Chute, Stacey (Domenic) Bonacci, LaQuinta, CA, Nick (Begon ) Trochil, Spain, Ryan (Nicole) Trochil, Brookfield; eight great grandchildren; one sister: Elaine Naidl, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Viola Trochil; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Sandra (Allen) Bialek, Vic Naidl.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 4, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave, Manitowoc). The Rev. Doug Le Captain will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial with burial of his cremated remains at the Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be accorded by Drews-Bleser American Legion Post #88 of Manitowoc at the church following the Mass. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
