Leland William Koeser was called to his eternal home on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026 at the age of 91 surrounded by family.
Leland was born in Two Rivers, WI on June 4, 1934 to wonderful parents, William H. and Anna E. (Fuchs) Koeser. He attended St. Luke’s Catholic School, Washington High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Leland met his future wife in their senior year of high school and he married Marilyn (Fronk) on September 3, 1955.
Leland was in the ROTC and served in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years in several different areas. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed making his own flies and lures. Leland especially enjoyed fishing with his youngest son, Lee. He enjoyed photography, painting and making Teddy Bears. Leland even designed one especially for the Knights of Columbus.
Leland is survived by his children: Cathy (Vince) Lucchetti, Latrobe, PA; Sandy Koeser, Kansas City, MO; Steven (Betsy) Koeser, Greensburg, PA; Mark Koeser, Derry, PA; John (Kathy) Koeser, Sioux City, IA; one daughter-in-law: Lori Koeser, Colorado Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his brother and sisters: James Koeser, Two Rivers, WI; Greg (Mary) Koeser, Green Bay, WI; Lynne (Steven) Neuser, Manitowoc, WI; Marjorie (Dan) Loberger, Appleton, WI; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; and last but not least his precious dogs Mac and Aspen. Leland was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his parents William H. and Anna E. (Fuchs) Koeser, his youngest son Lee, his sister Gloria Ann Laundrie and recently his beloved dog Aspen.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2026 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. After services, a luncheon will be held in the church hall. All are welcome.
The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein & Stangel Funeral Home location, is assisting the Koeser family with arrangements.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Heartland Hospice of Erwin, PA for their kind and professional care given to Leland. Also McCabe Funeral Home for the excellent care given to Leland’s urn and sending it to the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with the final arrangements.
