Lilas Rosinsky Obituary

Lilas M. Rosinsky, age 80, a Two Rivers resident, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Lilas was born on September 10, 1941 in Manitowoc, WI, daughter of the late Eugene and Marion (Knickerbocker) Behnke. She was a graduate of Reedsville High School with the class of 1959. On August 19, 1960 she married John A. Rosinsky in Menominee, MI. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2019. Lilas was a gifted cook and baker. She enjoyed car rides in the country.  Lilas was a very Christian woman who enjoyed attending church on a regular basis.  Nothing brought her greater joy than her family.

Lilas was many things to many people. Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend, but one thing she was to everyone…was an encourager. She offered care, compassion, kindness and love to all. She was an amazing prayer warrior. A fierce lover of the word and a faithful disciple of Jesus. This is her legacy. A legacy of Faith, in Christ. We would be remiss if we didn’t extend that same invitation to all who reads this. If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, Lilas would love for you to take that step of faith, surrender your heart to the Lord and live for him.

Survivors include her six children: Tammy (Lawrence) Markert, Terry Rosinsky, Tracy (Michael) Scott, Jacqueline (Robert) Light, Jesse (Kari) Rosinsky, Aaron (Sarah) Rosinsky; thirteen grandchildren: Jason Markert, Rochelle (Brian) Hulsey, Cassandra and Samantha Scott, Ryan Light, Korina and Marcus Rosinsky, Jackson, Lauren, Madysen, Jaeden, Ethan and Collin Rosinsky; two great grandchildren: Lucy and Lorelai Hulsey; her four siblings: Verlin (Janice) Behnke, Shelly (Donald) Zahorik, Dennis (Joanie) Behnke, Candice Dvorak; and one sister-in-law: Karen (John) Holmes. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son: Jeffrey Rosinsky; three siblings: Eugene (Marge) Behnke, Jr, Delores (John) Schmieder, Doreen (Lloyd) Buechel; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Bette (Gerald) Czekala, Gloria (William) Artz, Robert (Mary Jo) Rosinsky.
