Lily M. (Brooks) Boeldt

Lily M. Boeldt, 79 of Plymouth passed away on Monday morning, March 21, 2022 at the Plymouth Health Services. 

Lily was born on June 10, 1942 in Zion, Illinois a daughter to Walter and Evelyn (Julian) Brooks.  She graduated from high school and on June 15, 1963 was united in marriage to Donald Leckman. Two sons were born to this marriage and together they farmed in the Spencer, Wisconsin area prior to their divorce.  On June 1, 1991 Lily married Dennis Boeldt.  Together they resided in Plymouth and drove over the road delivery routes.  He preceded her in death on March 7, 2010.  Lily was a quiet and fiercely independent person.  She enjoyed her time with family.  Puzzles of many types interested her, such as jigsaw, Sudoku and word search; it was not uncommon for her to work the same jigsaw puzzle many times. She also enjoyed genealogy of family and friends and kite flying.  She enjoyed birds especially her three pet birds, Lucky, Missy and Daisy.

Lily is survived by her two sons, Bruce Leckman of Juneau, WI and Lamar (Stacy) Leckman of Wauwatosa, WI; two grandchildren, Madelyn Leckman and Aaron Leckman; a sister, Beverly (Bill) Pyle of Crown Pointe, IN, a sister-in-law, Beverly Resop of Sheboygan Falls and two nephews.  Other family and friends further survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dennis.

Private family services will be held with inurnment to be in the Salem Plank Road Cemetery.
