Lorraine J. (Krueger) Stahl, 92, of Plymouth passed away peacefully at her home on January 1, 2022.

She was born on June 6, 1929 in Manitowoc County, the oldest of 10 children born to the late Daniel and Olive (Swetlik) Krueger.  On October 2, 1948 she married Leroy Stahl and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1998. In 2019 she celebrated her 90th birthday with a surprise gathering.  She retired from Techumseh after 35 years.  She enjoyed many years of farming, playing cards, dancing the polka and completing her search-a-word.  In her life she survived the Great Depression and a worldwide pandemic.  She was tough both physically and mentally and wasn’t afraid to let you know if you missed a phone call to her.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

She brought wisdom, knowledge and lots of life to her family and friends.  She was a devoted mother, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dale Ann (Allen) Ehlenbeck of Elkhart Lake, Greg (Merita) Stahl of Evergreen Park, IL., Randy Stahl of Sheboygan Falls, Lori (Rick) Herriges of Sheboygan Falls; son-in-law, Ronald Burkart of Sheboygan Falls; 12 grandchildren, Dawn (Eric) Vogel, Jesse Ehlenbeck, Kelly (Kevin) Klahn, Jamie (Travis) Feldman, April Kelly (Aaron Arnhoelter), Brian (Melissa) Stahl, Colleen Stahl, Monica Stahl, Amanda Burkart, Kyleen (Chris) Flores, Briana Stahl and Matt Stahl; 20 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Carpenter, Irene Boeslager, Laverne Czarniecki, Geraldine Dessloch, Barb (Lee) Pozun and a sister-in-law, Linda Krueger.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Ronald and daughter, Sondra; three brothers, Daniel Krueger, Jr., Russell Krueger and Milton Krueger; a sister, Bernice Wallace; five brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.

A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon, Sunday, January 9 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service, 123 South Street, Plymouth with Rev. Philip Reifenberg, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating.  A gathering at the funeral home will follow until 2 pm.
