Margaret Ruzek Obituary

Margaret Edith Ruzek, 86, died peacefully in her home on Monday, May 16, 2022.

Margie was born to Christian and Elizabeth Krug on January 16, 1936 in Manitowoc. She was the youngest of three daughters and grew up on a small farm on Nagel Avenue in Manitowoc.

In 1954 Margie was married to Paul O. Reinertson of the U.S. Air Force, and for years they traveled the country, living in many states from California to Florida to New York and many in-between. Together they had three children, Ruthie, Tina and Paul. When she relocated to Wisconsin, she attended Lakeshore Technical Institute and received her LPN Nursing Degree. Margie worked at Holy Family Hospital and eventually retired from Northridge Health and Rehab Center. In 1974 she was married to Joe Ruzek of Kellnersville. They shared forty happy years together until his passing in 2014.

Margie became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1980 and loved to share her Bible based hope of future earthly paradise with all whom she met. She was always kind and generous and she never let you leave the table hungry. Margie will always be remembered for her industriousness, her humility, her generosity and her hospitality. She had a deep appreciation for nature and animals, especially her horses, which she rode well into her 70’s. Green was her favorite color; the grandkids called her their “little green gramma.”

Margie is survived by her children: Ruthie (Harvey) Gross, Tina (David) Meneau, and Paul (Sarah) Reinertson. She is further survived by grandchildren: Rebekah Mikulaj, Rachel Hermann, Andy (Sara) Hermann, Daniel Meneau, Samantha (Dean) Holly, Angie (Travis) Wilson, Holly (Joe) Lohr, Anna Reinertson. Also surviving is a step-daughter: Lynda (Bill) Mumford and their children: Heather and Mike, AZ; 20 great-grandchildren; a niece: Lisa Robertson; nephew: Martin Sheck; Margie’s very special friend: Lynda Schneider (I love you more!), as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe in 2014, sisters and brothers-in-law: Edith (Karl) Klackner, Betty (Bill) Herman, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: George (Dorothy) Ruzek and Victor Ruzek. She was also preceded by her niece: Celia Kravaljanac; nephew: Dean Klackner and great-granddaughter: Zoe.
