Margaret A. (Scharenbroch) Schramm

Margaret A. Schramm, age 97 of Manitowoc, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay.

Margaret was born September 5, 1926, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Schad) Scharenbroch. On April 23, 1946, she married William Schramm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alverno. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1991. Margaret was employed at the Foley Company for 38 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, and a past member of the St. Claire Society. She volunteered her time at Holy Family Hospital- meals on wheels program for many years.

Margaret is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Margo (John) Crummey, FL; two sons: Randy Schramm and special friend Lanette Knapp, Muskego, and Bill Schramm, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Aimee Crummey, Pewaukee, Nicole (Steve) Schuette, IL, and McKenna Elliott, Manitowoc; two great grandchildren: Josephine and Caleb; one sister: Bonnie Ebenhoe, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Alvina Scharenbroch; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Catherine Scharenbroch; her husband: William Schramm; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Edward (Lois) Scharenbroch, Norbert Scharenbroch; and one brother-in-law: Vernon Ebenhoe.

Per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held in the spring of 2024.
