Margaret "Maggie" Robichaud Obituary

Margaret Ann "Maggie" Robichaud (77) died on November 14, 2022 at St. Mary’s at Felician Village, Manitowoc, WI.  Maggie was born on May 13, 1945 in Manitowoc, WI.  She was the daughter of the late Helen (Heckel) and C. Leonard Robichaud for whom she was a devoted caregiver in their later years.

Maggie graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School and U.W. Lacrosse where she was a member of the Synchronized Swim Teams. She was an original member of the Cedar Skiers Water Ski group. She taught Physical Education at New Holstein for several years. 

Maggie is survived by her loving nephew and nieces and their families all of whom thought of her as their “Second Mother”: Dirk (Jennifer) Robichaud of Menominee Falls and daughter Bailey, Denise (Mike) Klauck of Kiel and children Kayla (Zach), Erica, Melissa and Jason, and Darcey (Kevin) Brinkhoff of Appleton and children Collin, Molly and Ella. Maggie is also survived by : Her brother Dennis (Judy) Robichaud of Georgia; Sister-in-law Patti [Schmitt] Summerfield of Appleton, WI  and Naples, FL; Niece Anne [Heckel] Cornelius of Minnesota and her children; Nephew Fritz (Susan) Heckel of South Carolina; 2nd Cousin Audrey Lexander of Connecticut; Good friends Jill Bruss, Mary Empey, Wayne Rameker, the “Dominoe Dames”…. and too many others to try to mention.

Per her request, cremation will be handled by Lakeshore Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc with a Visitation from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, November 21, at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center (Peace UCC) 3613 Waldo Blvd., followed by a short Celebration of Life at 12:30 pm. The family will be doing an inurnment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to be made to Felician Village. 

Maggie was a kind and generous soul known to always putting others first.  She faced many physical challenges throughout her life yet always was able to smile and be there for others.

A special Thank You to the staff of Felician Village and her dear friends and neighbors who drove her to countless doctor appointments throughout the years.

May she find the Peace she deserves and know that she will be deeply missed by many.
