Marie Driscoll Obituary

Marie L Driscoll, age 94, of Osman, died May 30, 2022, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

She is the former Marie Lorraine Brost, born November 16, 1927, in School Hill, daughter of the late John and Ottilia (Fessler) Brost. Marie graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School in School Hill. On September 11, 1948, Marie was united in marriage to Donald Driscoll at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill.  Donald preceded her in death on May 2, 2015. Marie worked at the family grocery store, Brost Foods, and then farmed with Donald. Marie was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Newton and the St. Thomas the Apostle Christian Women.

Marie is survived by her children, Thomas (Karen) Driscoll of Valders, Sandra (Matthew) Wusterbarth of Kiel, Richard (Jeanne) Driscoll of rural Manitowoc, Mary Jo (William) Schmidt of rural Manitowoc, and Daniel (Kim) Driscoll of Kiel. Marie is further survived by fifteen grandchildren, Eric (Heidi) Welch, Tera (Kevin) Gillis, Nicholas (Amy) Wusterbarth, Kishon (Nathan) Whittier, Leah (Scott) Warren, Tessa (Andrew) Abrahamson, Joel (Vanessa) Driscoll, Jeremy (Alison) Driscoll, Abby Driscoll (Brent Vogel), Amber (James) Mann, Jerad (Melissa) Grupe, Caitlyn Grupe (Matthew Laabs), Derrick Driscoll (Jeanette), DJ Driscoll, Terren Driscoll (Catherine).  Marie also has thirty-four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Josiah, Samuel, Matthew, Hannah, Levi, Joshua, and Gabriel Welch, Jack and Anna Gillis, Elizabeth, Patrick, Catherine and Frank Wusterbarth, Meara, Reese, and Van Whittier, Gemma, Poppy, and Beatrice Warren, John and Henry Abrahamson, Scarlett and Damien Driscoll, Max and Milly Driscoll, Paisley and Beau Vogel, Ryker and Rafe Mann, Karsten, Marshal, and Joslynn Grupe, Ella Laabs.  Also surviving Marie are nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two grandsons, Jimmy Driscoll and David Driscoll, a sister, Mabel (Ed) Miller, brothers, Norman (Marion, Rita) Brost, and Joe (Jane) Brost, sisters-in-law Catherine (George) Bonk and Dorothy (Paul) Mullins, nephew, Michael Mullins, as well as her father and mother-in-law, James and Priscilla (O’Neil) Driscoll.

Private funeral services were held for Marie at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Newton, WI.
