Marilyn A. Rochon, age 90, of Manitowoc passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Marilyn was born May 19, 1933 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Dallas and Leona (Sadusky) Duebner.  She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class of 1951.  On June 28, 1952 she was united in marriage to Gilbert Rochon at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on February 25, 1997.

Marilyn and Gilbert lived in Manitowoc where they raised their family.  As typical of the times, Marilyn was a stay at home mother to her children.  When her children were all in school, she decided to pursue her college degree at Silver Lake with an emphasis on art and religious studies.

Marilyn and her husband were very involved in foster care for many years. She was a talented artist, she loved to play the piano and sing, she was an exemplary Scrabble player, loved ice cream, playing cards with the ladies, and having coffee at her best friend’s house.  Marilyn loved her pets, her six children, her 13 grandchildren, and all of her 23 great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Jeannine Neuenfeldt, Jeff Rochon and wife J. Mickey Judkins, Jill Rochon and husband Michael Morris, Julie and Paul Thelen, Jo and Tim Woodcock, and J. Greg Rochon. Her brother and sister-in-law William and MaryAnn Duebner, two special foster children, Michael Phalen, and Robin Nienow. Thirteen grandchildren: Jason (Greta) Neuenfeldt, Tyler Neuenfeldt, Hannah (Jeff) Libby, Gretchen (Justin) Huletz, Kristen (Justin) Spiegelhoff, Andrew Hestekin, Elise (Devin) Winkel, Eva (Michael) Dunphy, Ellie (Trevor) Thelen Clementi, True Woodcock, Tatum Woodcock, Kyle (Ashley) Rochon, and Dominic Rochon. She is also survived by her 23 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Dallas & Leona Duebner, her husband Gilbert Rochon, her brother and sister-in-law Carl and Nancy Duebner, and her best friend Donna Fricke.
