Mary C. Becker

Mary C. Becker, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Thursday morning, October 7, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.

Mary was born on July 16, 1936, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Ervin and Esther (Dempski) Becker. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1954. Mary worked at Imperial Eastman as a Hose Inspector until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed watching and playing softball for the Kingsbury Jets and was recognized as an All-Star 2nd baseman, All-Star short-stop and were the state champions four times. Mary also enjoyed bowling and belonged to the 600 club and was also featured as Bowler of the Month for the Green Bay Press Gazette. She was a member of the St. Clare Society at St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include two sisters: Barbara Becker, Sandra Bull; three nieces: Lynn (Barry) Lemberger, Rosemary (Todd) Nelson, Wendy (David) LeVene, all of Manitowoc; great niece and great nephews: Andy, Alyssa, Bryce, Luke, Zach and Matt. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother-in-law: Gerald Bull; one nephew: Steven Bull; and two special friends: Verna Tuschl and Dorothy Bieda.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 N. 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. George Daniel. Cremation will take place after the service and Mary will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, October 11, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
