Mary J. Butz

Mary J. Butz, age 75, of Manitowoc passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at her residence.   

Mary was born January 17, 1950 in Madison, daughter of the late Robert and Josephine (Puccio) Butz.  She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the Class of 1968.  She furthered her education by attaining an Associate’s Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Mary worked as a LPN for 40 years.  Mary lived and worked in Houston, Texas, Longmont, Colorado  and Seattle, Washington.  After many years as a hospice nurse she ended her career teaching CNA classes to the next generation of care givers.

Mary enjoyed all the good stuff life had to offer, travel, music and dining out.  Mary was an avid reader and was forever looking for the next good book.

Survivors include her sister Regina Slagle and husband Randy Slagle; her brother: Mike Butz and his wife Cheryl; nieces Heidi and Danielle Butz, Sophia B Slagle, nephews Adam and Brandon Butz, a great niece Kara Gilbert; as well as other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Josephine Butz, and brothers Reinhardt and Francis Butz.

Cremation has taken place and Private Family Services were held.
