Mary Ann Geiger Obituary

Mary Ann Geiger, age 68, of Francis Creek passed away on January 25, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Mary Ann was born on October 29, 1957 in Brookfield. She graduated from Marion High School in 1976 and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Silver Lake College and master’s in education from UWGB. She taught for over 20 years at L.B. Clarke Middle School as a reading and forensics teacher. She enjoyed hearing from past students and took great pride in all the lives she impacted during her teaching career.

Mary Ann grew up in Leopolis where her father (Carl) and mother (Pauline) owned and operated the Old Ranch House tavern. This instilled in her not only her work ethic but fostered the value of family. Later in life, she enjoyed taking her family on surprise visits to the Old Ranch House where she would hold impromptu performances with her father while he would play his homemade “beatstick” and her the tambourine.

On February 19, 2000, she married Mark Geiger. Not only did she gain a loving husband, but she gained a “bonus family”. Mary Ann was devoted in her faith, her love of her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She shared her passion of reading and art with her loved ones. She had a love of travel and adventure. Whether it was riding on a motorcycle across the country with her husband, travelling across the seas to Italy, or visiting family from the Northwoods to North Carolina.

Following her retirement from teaching, she turned her love of art into a second career. Her artwork would be on display in galleries from Green Bay to Destin, Florida. She loved to be involved with the art community, especially with her friends at Shelee Art.

A special thanks to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and the staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Two Rivers for their unwavering support and kindness.

She is survived by her husband: Mark Geiger, Francis Creek; mother: Pauline Holl, Wausau; children: DJ Chupita (Alex) of Minocqua, Stephanie Wotachek (Jerome) of Minocqua, Michael Chupita (Sarah) of Troutman, NC; Jolene Funk (Jake) of Mishicot, Kristy Hahn (Jeff) of Chilton, Lee Geiger (Katie) of Troutman, NC; brother Robert Holl (Jane) of Wausau; grandchildren Hudson, Everleigh, Juniper, Mabel, Claire, Emma, Anna, Colton, Caleb, Braelynn, Reagan and one on the way; In-laws Cindy Klein, Lynn Cisler (Tom), Daniel Geiger (Patsy), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father Carl Holl, father-in-law Daniel Geiger, mother-in-law Beverly Geiger, and brother-in-law Steve Klein.
