Michael J. Keehan passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
On October 2, 1954, Mike married the love of his life, Marilyn Shaw, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, family, and faith. They joyously celebrated 71 years together.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn (Shaw), and their five children: Karen (Jerry), Maggie (Dave), Patrick (Lois), Marybeth (Mike), and David (Wendy). He was a proud grandfather to Jeremy (Lana), Josh (Heidi), Jake (Jody), Paige, Payton, Mya, Megan, Adam (Kristen), Hannah (Sean), Olivia, Gracie, Wyatt, Malachi, Brandon (Macyn), and Kate. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandsons on the way.
Mike is further survived by his sister-in-law Janet, as well as special friends Eric and Pam Meisner, Kenny Linsmeier, Marvin Zimmer, and Eugene Hartman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace (O’Hearn) Keehan; his siblings, Virginia, Donald, and Dorothy; his in-laws, Donald C. and Laura (Reif) Shaw; and his grandson, James (Bo). He was also preceded by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Mike proudly served his country for eight years in the National Guard/Reserves. He worked at Manitowoc Engineering before dedicating himself full-time to farming until his retirement. He was also a committed member of his local volunteer fire department, serving his community for 30 years.
A private family service will be held on April 10, 2026. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s, or a charity of your choice.
