Minna Liddell, age 96, went to her Heavenly Home September 12, 2025, at Sylvan Crossings Assisted Living, Manitowoc, WI.  Born in Manitowoc on February 26, 1929, the youngest child of Catherine and Conrad Lorenz Sr., Minna grew up in Chicago, Illinois, was a 1947 graduate of East Proviso High School, and was a Chicago Bell Telephone Company Supervisor.

 Minna married Loren (Larry) Liddell Jr., a WWII Navy Submarine Veteran, formerly of New York, in 1955.  In 1959, Minna and Larry had daughter, Carol and in 1964 son, David.  In 1971, Minna became a Certified Nursing Assistant at Holy Family Hospital; she retired in 2005 from the Bridgeway Company.

Minna and Larry were active members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and loved the Lord.  They volunteered at Grace, the Red Cross, Manitowoc Senior Center, Manitowoc Sheriff’s Department, Meals on Wheels, and Florida State Park Services.  They enjoyed traveling throughout North America visiting their family and friends.  Married for over 50 years, Minna cared lovingly for Larry until he passed away in 2006.

Minna was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Liddell Jr.; parents, Catherine and Conrad Lorenz Sr., stepmothers Anna Hopfmann, Anna Kempf; brothers, Conrad Lorenz Jr., Edward Lorenz; sister-in-law Ann Galey; sisters Emily Koldoff, Lydia Miller, stepson Loren Liddell III, daughter in law Kathy Liddell, grandson L. Allen Liddell IV; nieces and nephews Ann Lorenz, Darlene VanderBloomen; Harlan Demsien, and Paul Koldoff.

Minna is survived by daughter Carol (Paul) Schuette and son Colonel David (Greta) Liddell, U.S. Army, Retired; grandsons Jesse Tegen and Daniel (Jennifer Mackie) Tegen; granddaughters Caitlyn (Patrick) O’Donnell, and Amanda (Austin) James; great-grandsons Luke Tegen and James O’Donnell; Stepdaughter Judy (Gene) Buesing, step grandchildren Kevin Buesing (Alona), Karen (Kevin) Flynn, and Alice (Steven) Wise; step great-grandchildren Eugene Buesing, Nathan Buesing, Anika Wise, and Niko Wise; sister-in-law Imelda Jaklin; nieces Jan Lewis, Joan Beise, and Betty Bohm; nephews David Lorenz, James Koldoff, Mark Koldoff, and Robert Lorenz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc. The Rev. Ryan Henning will officiate with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
