Myrtle Elsie (Goeke) Vetter

Myrtle Elsie (Goeke) Vetter, age 90 of Newton, WI, passed away June 12, 2025, at Dimensions Living, Manitowoc.

Myrtle “Myrt” was born October 1, 1934, to the late Elmer and Florence (Campbell) Alberts. She graduated from Mishicot High School in 1953. Myrt married Allen Goeke May 5, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1994. She then married Edward Vetter on October 10, 1999. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2017. She worked as an office worker for the Mirro Corp. She also worked as a colorist for Welnetz Studio. Later, she was a department manager for Holiday Inn. She was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church in Newton.

Myrt is survived by her children: Jefry & Cindi Goeke, Terry & Tom Miller; grandchildren: Scott Miller, Lisa Goeke; stepchildren: Terri & Mike Hollen, Lana Cournia; step-grandchildren: Nicole Clark, Bradon Roth, Tannon & Josie Schultz; step-great-grandchildren: Madyson Roth, Declan Clark. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Myrt was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Florence Alberts; husband: Allen Goeke; husband: Edward Vetter; brother: Wendell Alberts; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ray & Ruth Goeke, Norman & Linda Stuckman, Bernice & Marvin Summers, LaVerne & Walter Miennert.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Rd C, Manitowoc with Rev. James Grossmann officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
