Nancy Hollenberger Obituary

Nancy L. Hollenberger, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters on March 23, 2026 in Manitowoc, WI.

Nancy was born on August 14, 1941 in Sheboygan County, a daughter to William and Elvira (Buss) Miller. Nancy attended St. John’s Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1959. On August 20, 1960, she married the love of her life Charles W. Hollenberger and they resided on their beloved hobby farm in Greenbush until moving to Plymouth in 2017.

Nancy worked at various companies in the area, including Bordens, A&P and Great Lakes Cheese. She eventually started her own floral design company and continued her passion of floral design by working for various wedding floral companies in the area.

Her love of nature and wildlife was vibrantly evident in the various gardens and trees that she planted and lovingly maintained.

Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Susan (David) Roettger of Greenbush and Mary Homiston of Manitowoc, as well as three granddaughters, Elizabeth (YerMay Yang) Roettger, Rachel (Ted) Martin, and Shelby (William Essig) Homiston and one great-grandson Bennett Martin. In addition, she is survived by her three sisters-in-law, Judy Miller (Donald Miller); Sharon Hollenberger (Gene Hollenberger); Janice Hollenberger (Frank Hollenberger) and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles, and her brother, Donald Miller.

A private burial of her cremated remains will take place in the Greenbush Cemetery alongside her husband.

Nancy’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation and gratitude to all of the care staff at New Day Assisted Living (Manitowoc) and Home Health Care Services Hospice, Manitowoc, for their care, support and love during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The International Crane Foundation, E11376 Shady Lane Road Baraboo, WI 53913 in Nancy’s memory.
