Norbert Andrew Gruber, 90, of Manitowoc passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at River’s Bend Health Services.
Norbert was born on September 2, 1934 in the town of Kossuth to Anton and Anna (Augustine) Gruber. He attended St. Anne’s Catholic grade school and was a graduate of Mishicot High School. On November 21, 1959, he married the former Luann Wachal. Norbert was a dairy farmer on the family farm, he also worked for FarmCo and was a milk hauler for Bolle. He attended St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Francis Creek. Norbert was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed playing cards, farming and cherished time spent with his family.
Norbert is survived by his wife: Luann Gruber; children: James Gruber, Francis Creek, Linda (Scott) Witczak, Manitowoc, and Richard (Lori) Gruber, Manitowoc; grandchildren: Kayla Witczak, Manitowoc, Dillon Witczak, Kewaunee, and Tyler Gruber, Green Bay; and great-grandchildren: Aria, Josie, Jade, and Cashton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents: Anton and Anna Gruber; brothers: Mike (Annita) Gruber and Paul Gruber; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Wayne (Audry Kerscher) Wachal.
A funeral service to celebrate Norbert’s life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Funeral Home-Kellnersville, 1124 Main Street, with Deacon Al Boedlt officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
