Patricia J. Hayes

Patricia J. Hayes, age 93, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on January 25, 2021 at Maritime Gardens in Manitowoc.

Patricia was born on November 27, 1927 in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late William and Katherine (O'Hara) Sherlock. On February 3, 1951 she married Donald J. Hayes in Syracuse, NY. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2007. Patricia graduated from St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse, NY as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse, specializing in pediatric nursing, from 1950 until her retirement in 1987.

Survivors include four daughters and one son-in-law: Sharon Johnson, Glenview, IL, Patty Simon, Cape Coral, FL, Bridget Jarosh, Cape Coral, FL, Erin and Mark Swetlik, Cape Coral, FL; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Terry and Tamra Hayes, Manitowoc, John Kevin Hayes, Manitowoc; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one infant daughter: Mary Theresa; two sons-in-law: William Johnson and Jack Jarosh; one sister and brother-in-law: Joan and Walt Bergstraessar; and one brother and sister-in-law: John and Reggie Sherlock.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Jason Blahnik. The Funeral service will be live streamed on Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes Facebook page, you don't need to be a member of Facebook to view the live stream.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to the Felician Village or Roncalli High School, both of Manitowoc.
