Paul Rathsack Obituary

Paul Ronnie (Butch) Rathsack passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2026 at Sharon Richardson Hospice Facility. He was born December 2nd, 1939 in Two Rivers, son of the late Viola and John Sleger and Paul P. Rathsack who died when Paul was two. 

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958 and served in the United States Army from 1961-1964 stationed in Chinon, France. On May 28th, 1966 he married Bev Kott at First German Lutheran Church. He was employed at Burger Boat from 1965-1978 and was a union carpenter until his retirement in 2001. He and Bev enjoyed traveling, especially to the National Parks, Canada, and Alaska.

He is survived by his wife Bev, one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Brian Boeckman, a son Steve Rathsack (Samantha Theis), and a son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Ann Rathsack. Also survived by his seven grandchildren; Marisa and Ian Greene and great granddaughter Avalyn, of Alma, Colorado, Melinda Novy and great grandson Grayson Gorte; Colton and fiancé Kristina Myronenko and Blake Boeckman, Joshua Rathsack (Eva Talavera), Olivia Rathsack, and Madilyn Rathsack. Additionally survived by his brother and sister-in-law Terry and Judy Sleger and sister Linda Lehman, and other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws Arthur and Gertie Kott; one sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Ray Meissen, and two brothers-in-law Gary Kott and Elmer Lehman. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home.  Inurnment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
