Paul J Vavra

Paul J. Vavra, age 71, of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at his residence.

Paul was born October 25, 1952, in Kohler, son of the late Paul P. and Delores (Schleif) Vavra. He attended schools in Kohler, graduating with the class of 1971 from Kohler High School. Paul served in the United States navy, he then furthered his education at Lakeland College where he received an Associate degree in Business. On January 1, 1976, he married the former Linda Kregel in Sheboygan. Paul enjoyed working with wood, was an avid Packer fan, and was a member of the band: Benny and the Vet. He was employed at Kohler and UW Green Bay for many years.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Vavra, Manitowoc; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Trevor M. Vavra, Manitowoc and Paul M. (Emily) Vavra, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Jacob R. Vavra, Manitowoc and Rivar B. Vavra, Sheboygan Falls; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Susan Vavra, Sheboygan, Mary (David) Vavra Spurgeon, Kohler; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Rose Holtz and special friend Merlin, New Holstein, Cheri Ponath, Sheboygan Falls, Julie Kregel, Sheboygan, John (Marilyn) Kregel, Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Delores Vavra.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of services at 11:00 am. Graveside Military services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Kohler.
