Perry Holzman Obituary

Perry Holzman, age 69, of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully on April 9 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

He was born on March 26, 1957, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Howard Peter Holzman and Charlotte Louise Sigmund. Perry attended Sauk Prairie High School, graduating with the Class of 1975.

Following high school, Perry proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1980 aboard the USS Savanna (AOR-4). During his service, he had the opportunity to visit many countries across several continents, an experience he valued greatly. His years of service were a source of pride and shaped his strong sense of discipline and dedication.

Perry had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, working with his hands on projects around the house, and especially kayaking. Kayak racing was a true passion of his, and he reached an impressive milestone when he served as an official for kayaking events during the 1996 Olympic Games in* Atlanta.

He dedicated many years of his professional life as an engineer at the Point Beach Power Plant, where he was respected for his knowledge and work ethic before retiring in 2015.

On April 21, 2012, Perry married the love of his life, Zhanna Holzman (Bilenko). Their bond was one of deep love, companionship, and mutual respect.

Perry is survived by his beloved wife, Zhanna; his brothers, Frank, Paul, Earl, and Glen; and his sisters, Betty, Linda, and Louise, along with extended family and friends who will dearly miss him.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of nature, his commitment to family, and the many ways he lent a helping hand to those around him.

A private service will be announced at a later date.
