Raphael F. Engelbrecht

Raphael F. Engelbrecht, age 81 of rural Reedsville, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Raphael was born at home in the town of Franklin, son of the late Elmer and Sidonia (Lemke) Engelbrecht. He attended the local schools. Raphael worked for Manitowoc Cranes for 27 years and hobby farmed in the town of Franklin raising elk. On October 12, 1990, Raphael was married to the former Darlene Kuehnhold at Marshfield, she preceded him in death on September 7, 2016. He was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law: Edgar (Harriet) Engelbrecht, Austin, TX; one sister: Barbara Loppnow, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer and Sidonia Engelbrecht; his wife: Darlene Engelbrecht; one infant brother: Frank Engelbrecht; and one brother-in-law: Wilmer Loppnow.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023, at St. John- St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reedsville, 219 Manitowoc St., behind the church. Rev. Darin Aden will officiate the graveside service.
