Richard Alan (Ric) Heuer Age 67 Richard (Ric) Heuer died unexpectedly of a heart attack while pheasant hunting with a friend on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017. Ric was born to Albert and Norma Heuer on December 30th, 1949 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1968 and from University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1972 with a degree in education. He married Marsha (Mickelson) on August 21st, 1971. In 1992, he received his Master's degree in Education. For 33 years, he taught math and science at Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin until his retirement in 2005. Ric was quite the outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish by himself or with friends and family as well as shooting sporting clays. If he could shoot a 40 or higher he would leave a happy man. Ric was an active member of Grace Congregational Church in Two Rivers volunteering his skills and time on various mission trips and church functions. He was a selfless man always willing to help family, friends, and others in need. Ric loved spending time with his loving wife Marsha, their two children Nathan and Cassandra (Andy). They were blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren whom Ric loved to spend time with. He couldn't always hear them, but enjoyed watching and listening to their stories. Whether his family was spending summer time at the cottage in Phelps, Wisconsin, working in his wood shop, or just sitting down for a great meal around the dinner table, Ric was the life of the room. He had an infectious laugh (always letting us know where he was at) and had a special zest for life that will be missed by countless people whose lives he touched. Ric leaves behind his wife of 46 years Marsha, son Nathan, daughter Cassandra (Andy) Poterucha, seven grandchildren Kaleb, Owen, Sophia, Bryn, Aaron, Leah, and Evelyn, his sisters Pam (Eric) Aoys, Mary Lynn (Jim) Ebert, sister-in-law Mickey Veleke, nieces Clare, Kristin (Kimberly), Cori, nephews Dan, Mitchel, John, and Bradley, and many wonderful friends. Ric was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Norma, two brothers, Craig and Jim, his father-in-law Mike Mickelson, mother's-in-law Carol and Elva, sister-in-law Monica Benedict, and Mary & Russell Hasheck who were close family friends. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday the 29th of October at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
