Richard K. Wagner, age 67, a longtime resident of Cleveland, died on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, Wis.
Richard was born on August 29, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Albert and Jane (Eppich) Wagner. He was a graduate of Garfield Heights High School, Class of 1975, and then proudly served in the U.S. Army. Richard was an owner/operator OTR truck driver who enjoyed motorcycles, had a soft spot in his heart for rescue dogs and was a Cleveland Browns fan.
Survivors include his daughter: Melonie (Tony) Sammons of San Antonio, Tex.; sister: Karen (Ian) Huckin, Manitowoc, Wis.; half-sister: Mary K. Wagner, Buffalo, N.Y.; aunt: Janet L. Kunz; niece: Tabitha (Justin) Kohel; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by two uncles: William (Patsy) Smolinski, Thomas Kunz; and an aunt: Carol Fogliano.
A private family service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Garfield Heights.
