Richard “Dick” Gerald Brockman, 91, of Manitowoc passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Angelus Assisted Living.
Dick was born on April 7, 1933 in Milwaukee to Laurence and Bertha (Sarzycki) Brockman. He was a 1951 gradate of Milwaukee Tech High School. On August 8, 1953, he married Blanche Reynolds in St. Francis, WI. Over the years, Dick worked for the US Department of Agriculture, as a USDA Meat Inspector.
Dick was a member of Calvary Chapel of Manitowoc and he was also a member of New Life Christian Minstrels. Dick was a man of faith and loved his Lord with all his heart and soul. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed gardening and upholstery. Over the years he spent countless hours volunteering and helping others. Dick cherished his family and loved all the family gatherings.
Dick is survived by his wife: Blanche Brockman; children: Karen (Maxwell) Bentley, Ellen Mary (Butch) Brockman-Wollenberg, Frank (Debra) Brockman, Anne (Thomas) Danek, Paul Brockman, and Anthony (Kimberly) Brockman; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren: sister: Patricia Stemwell; and sister-in-law: Kay Brockman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents: Laurence and Bertha Brockman; daughter: Diane Brockman; two grandchildren: Laurence Nicholas Brockman and Crystal West; two brothers: Laurence (Anita) Brockman, and James Brockman; and brother-in-law: William Stemwell.
A memorial service to celebrate Dick’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Lakeshore Life Celebration Center, 3613 Waldo Blvd, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Joe Guglielmo officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
