Richard "Rick" Robert Peters

Richard “Rick” Robert Peters, 68, of Manitowoc passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Azura Memory Care.

Rick was born on November 8, 1956 in Manitowoc to Robert and Ellen (Hoffman) Peters. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. Rick served his country in the United States Navy from 1975-1979. On January 24, 1981, he married Sue K. Kabat. Rick worked in maintenance for over 20 years at VPI.  He enjoyed playing softball, pool, going to the races and had a passion for photography. Rick cherished going up north to Eagle River with his family.

Rick is survived by his wife: Sue K. Peters; daughter: Amy (Ryan) Foote; son: Jay (Janet) Peters; grandchildren: Tyler, Kaitlyn, Laurel, and Colin; his mom: Ellen Peters; two brothers and one sister: Wayne (Julie) Peters, Dan (Sharla) Peters, and Connie (Thom) Gagne; and one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Jim (Heidi) Kabat and Sherry Kabat. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rick was preceded in death by his dad: Robert Peters; sister: Cathy Peters; parents-in-law: Arnold and Alice Kabat; and brother-in-law: Randy Kabat.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
