Robert Anderson Obituary

Robert L. Anderson a kind and generous man who resided in Plymouth passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the age of 93 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.

Robert was born on April 13, 1928 at the family home in Sheboygan, a son to the late Harvey L. and Margaret (Graefe) Anderson.  He attended schools in Sheboygan and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1946.   Following high school he enlisted in the Air Force and served in Japan with the Corps of Engineers reconstructing the infrastructure of the country.  Following his discharge from the Air Force he was united in marriage to Carol Lofy on December 16, 1950.  Robert was a carpenter by trade. He was employed by Quasius Construction at the time of his retirement.

Robert was a hard worker with a good sense of humor.  He enjoyed people and was very close with his grandchildren.

Robert was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth and the Carpenters Union.

Robert is survived by his wife of almost 71 years, Carol; his daughters, Jody (Terry) Schetter of Plymouth and Lynne (Bill) Schoemer of Waldo; a son, Aaron Anderson of Stoughton; a granddaughter, Kelly (Jason) Thill of Sheboygan Falls; three grandsons, Jason (Michelle) Schoemer of Plymouth, Tyler (Sarah Jane) Herr of Maple Ridge, British Columbia and Jacob Schoemer of Portland, OR; and eight great grandchildren.  He is further survived by other family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held 1 pm, Wednesday, November 17 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Leslie O’Callaghan officiating.  Inurnment will be in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.  Family and friends may gather at the church, 1808 Eastern Avenue, Plymouth on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of service at 1 pm.

Memorials in Roberts’s name may be directed to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center and Habitat for Humanity.

Robert’s family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the nurses, whom he called his angels, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center for their care and compassion.
