Robert Beaupre Obituary

Robert J. Beaupre, native son of Two Rivers, Wi, passed peacefully on April 4th, 2024, in Murrieta CA, surrounded by family. Born to Alfred and Irma (Harrington) Beaupre on May 27, 1927.

After a humble yet full childhood he graduated from Washington High School in 1945. He went on to serve his country during WWII. Stationed in Panama for a time, he had the honor to be part of an escort taking Joe Dimaggio and Marilyn Monroe on a fishing trip.

Upon returning home, a few area jobs lead him to a 38-year long career at Hamilton Manufacturing. From upholstery to drafting to a supervisory position in sales, he found his rise very rewarding. Championship softball teams and bowling leagues formed along with lifetime friendships.

He married Lorraine F. Peurala on July 22nd, 1950, and began raising a family. Robert, now deceased. Cindy of Murrieta, CA, Jim of Murietta, CA, and Dan (Minette) of Manitowoc, WI.

Preceded in death by his parents, his eldest son, brothers Leroy and Cletus, and their sister Eunice. We also lost our mother long ago. Nieces, nephews and extended family survive.

Our Dad loved the simple things in life that more and more, most of us realized matter the most. Anything out in nature - laying in the sun, paddling on the water, or riding a bike were among his favorites, but tennis was number one. 40 Lov was not only his license plate, but his outlook on life.

He was a Founding Scoutmaster of Troop 27 and even brought the Boys to Canada. More fish than you can imagine and even a bear in camp sharing in the bounty! Having two of his own sons in that troop created tales as good as gold. Mr. B as he was called helped boys become men for a decade. The first Eagle Scout to come from that Troop was his eldest son Robert.

In retirement he was very fortunate to take that tennis game of his on the road. A few years were spent in Hawaii and many more in California making new friends while playing the game he loved. He drove back and forth cross country many times and even once at 80 years old to live back on the lakeshore for quite a few years. He then returned to sunny CA to live out his remaining years.

Our Dad will be dearly missed, and endless memories cherished.

Cremation and private services have been held. If you knew him, say a prayer or pay it forward in your own way. The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers is assisting the family with arrangements.
