Ronald "Ron" A. Ehlers

Ronald A. Ehlers, 84, of Manitowoc passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Complete Care in Manitowoc.

Ron was born on March 22, 1941 in Sturgeon Bay to Roland and Mildred (Wilke) Ehlers. He was a 1959 graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School. On May 23, 1998 he married Mae Unteutsch. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2013. Throughout the years, Ron was a mechanic and mason. He enjoyed playing basketball in his younger years, fishing, hunting, woodworking, listening to country music and watching old western movies.

Ron is survived by his son: Russell (significant other Barb) Ehlers; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister: Susan Kezo. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents: Roland and Mildred Ehlers; daughter: Theresa Ehlers; wife: Mae Ehlers; former spouse: Judy Ehlers; and two brothers: Jim Ehlers and Robert Ehlers.

A funeral service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 5:00 pm at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm. Ron will be laid to rest at Nicolet Memorial Gardens in Green Bay.
