Ronald “Ron” John Hausler, 86, of Plymouth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center surrounded by his family.
Ron was born on July 3, 1938 in Sheboygan to the late Roland and Ruth (Schwenzen) Hausler. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School. Ron served his country in the National Guard from 1958-1962. On March 1, 1958, he married Waunita Berg. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2011. Ron was an assistant foreman for Borden Foods for 46 years until his retirement. Ron was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, woodworking and loved racing.
Ron is survived by his children: Ranae (David) Lorenz, Wayne (Deb) Hausler, Ronda Johnson, and Shelly (Steve) Zimmermann; grandchildren: Beth (Rob), Melanie (Sascha), Nikki, Erin, Ryan (Jillaine), Casey, Chris, Liz (Caylon), Leah (Stephen), Christin (Matt), Mitch (Hannah), Becky (Dusty), and Brittany (Josh); 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brother: Ralph (Karen); two sisters: Donna and Paulette (Mark); and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Barbara, Henry, Janice, Delores, and Bruce (Deb) . He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Waunita; son-in-law: Steve Johnson; grandson: Justin; brother: Jerry; two sisters: Rogean and Barbara (Jerry); and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 4:00pm at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, 123 South Street, with Rev. John Schultz officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the funeral home, from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Burial of cremains will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
