Stanton W. "Stan" Kuil, age 74, of rural Maribel, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, August 8, 2018 at his residence.Stan was born on March 10, 1944 in Seattle, WA, son of the late William and Margaret (Boyd) Kuil. He grew up and attended schools in Cave Junction, OR and graduated with the class of 1962 from Cave Junction High School. Following high school, Stan enlisted in the United States Air Force serving until 1966. Upon his discharge in 1966, Stan and his family moved to the Yukon Territory in Canada until 1970, moving to Cloverdale CA. He always considered himself a professional truck driver, driving over the road semi for 36 years in various parts of the United States. In the 1980's he lived in Kentucky and worked in the oil fields. In 1998 he moved to Wisconsin and settling in the Maribel area. On May 2, 2009 Stan married the former Kathleen A. (Dunn) Welch at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville.In the past Stan enjoyed western life including horses, snowmobiling, hunting and living the outdoor life. Most recently Stan's health kept his activities local, having coffee at the BP station in Kellnersville and traveling around with his friends looking for old cars, farm equipment and hidden treasures.He is survived by his wife: Kathleen (Welch) Kuil, Maribel; one daughter and son-in-law: Kimberleigh (Steve) Coleman, London, KY and their two sons: Gunnar Coleman and Gage Coleman; Kathleen's children: Steven (Tracy) Welch, Portland, OR and their four children: Kaiya, Braeden, Brock and Kaeli; Owen Welch (Heather Myers), Lake Tahoe, NV; Dean (Terese) Welch, Madison and their children: Freya and one due in September; Gena Welch (Chris Patras), Los Angeles, CA and their son: Henry; Michael Welch, Milwaukee; Erin (Ryan) Warpinski, Waunakee and their daughters: Greta and Scarlett; Eamon (Rachel) Welch, Windsor and their daughters: Norah and Iris; Thomas Welch and his fiancée: Maria Wenzel, Racine; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Karen (Paul) Clark, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Kathryn Adams, Biggs, CA; his best special friend and "brother" Dale Kopidlansky, Taus, three nieces, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Margaret Kuil; two step-sons: Curt Mueller; Michael Mueller; Kathleen's daughter and son-in-law: Christine (Jeff) Bowersock; one brother-in-law: Chuck Adams.A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville. Deacon Randy Meidl will officiate. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. Military Honors will be accorded by Kubale-O'Connell VFW Post #6179 of Kellnersville following the service.
