Steven Donald Gaeth, 71, of Manitowoc passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County.
Steve was born on February 22, 1955 in Milwaukee to Donald and Elaine (Weisjohn) Gaeth. He is a graduate of Custer High School in Milwaukee and furthered his education at Milton College. In 1980, he married Leyla Turkseven, she preceded him in death in 2016. Steve worked at Jefferson Smurfit and Georgia Pacific. Over the years, he was also a bouncer at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee. Steve was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was content and happy with what he had and focused on making sure his family was taken care of. Steve was an avid reader, cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, Charlotte and Grady. He enjoyed watching wrestling, football, particularly the Chicago Bears, listening to music, antiquing and loved to tinker.
Steve is survived by his children: Olivia (Ben) Delikowski and Cody Gaeth; his grandchildren: Charlotte and Grady; and sister: Donna Williams. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Elaine Gaeth; wife: Leyla Gaeth; son-in-law: Chris Brey; brother: Chris Gaeth; and brother-in-law: Norman Williams.
A private family service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
