Thomas R. Fierst

Thomas R. Fierst, age 78 of Whitelaw, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.

Tom was born November 22, 1945, in Manitowoc, son of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Schmitz) Fierst. He attended schools in the Mishicot area, graduating with the class of 1964 from Mishicot High School. On September 14, 1968, he married the former Judith Weier at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Tom was employed at Wisconsin Fuel and Light and later at Wisconsin Public Service for many years until his retirement in 2008. He was a life member of the Francis Creek Fire Department. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time at their cottage at Silver Cliff.

Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years: Judith Fierst, Whitelaw; two children: Kim (Bill) Mitchell, Manitowoc, and Brad (Pamela) Fierst, Wauwatosa; four grandchildren: Logan Jonas (special friend Samantha Frish), Mason Jonas, Gavin Fierst, and Olivia Fierst; three step grandchildren: Jacob (Jordan) Mitchell, McKenzie Mitchell, and Jack Mitchell; one brother: Todd Fierst; one sister: Cindy Kaczrowski; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Eileen (Norb) Wronkowski, Nancy Weier, and Grace Fierst, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Dorothy Fierst; two brothers: Donald Fierst and Marvin Fierst; three brothers-in-law: Donald Kaczrowski, Kenneth Weier, and Ronald Weier.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Homes of Kellnersville, 1124 Main Street. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am.
