Timothy "Tim" Taylor Obituary

With deep sadness, family and friends of Tim Taylor announce his passing on Monday, June 23, 2025.  Born in Columbus, Ohio on November 1, 1950, Tim grew up in Fond du Lac and lived most of his life in nearby communities.

Tim was bright and creative. He possessed an impressive memory, reliably recalling details of films, music, and life events for all his days.  He enjoyed and excelled at word games. He entertained friends and classmates with caricature drawings that were dead on accurate and wildly creative. He loved music and played drums in some of the better local county and rock bands of his era. And, with his fun personality, quirky sense of humor and infectious laugh, he made friends easily.  Tim’s interests sometimes seemed odd to others, like 1950’s science fiction films and 1960’s music and related trivia, but they grew from deeply meaningful experiences from his childhood and teenage years.

Tim was gifted with a special relationship in his life. He was married to a dear woman, Patricia Taylor for 40 years. Their love for and dedication to each other was admired by others. Patty preceded Tim in death in 2018.

Tim also had some extraordinary challenges in his life. Both of his parents died when he was young and in his first year of studying art in college he developed paranoid schizophrenia. He battled this serious mental health disorder for the rest of his life. In his last years bouts with cancer also were disabling. In spite of these difficulties Tim was always a bright, positive and caring person.

Tim is survived by two sisters Pamela Taylor, of Seymour, WI, and Andrea (Michael) Scheer, Fond du Lac, stepson Ted (Edie) Morrison, Adrian, MI, stepdaughter Terri Fay Respalje, Waupun and lifelong friends Mike and Carolyn Baker and Robin Draves. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Taylor and stepdaughter Vicki Lynn Morrison.

We miss you Tim, Godspeed.
