Victor Kvitek Obituary

Victor E. Kvitek, age 93, formerly of Maribel and Kellnersville, passed away Saturday evening, August 21, 2021 at the Scandinavian Court Assisted Living in Denmark.

Vic was born on January 18, 1928 in the Township of Cooperstown, son of the late Frank and Tillie (Fidler) Kvitek. He grew up in the Town of Cooperstown attending local schools and graduating from Denmark High School in 1946. Following high school, he worked for the Denmark Telephone Company as a lineman and helped his parents on the family farm. On October 6, 1951 Vic married the former Betty J. Stradal at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. The couple celebrated their 69th Anniversary on October 6, 2020 with their family. The couple farmed on the Kvitek Century Homestead Farm in the Town of Cooperstown until retirement in 1986, when they moved to the village of Maribel. At that time their son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Tina took over the family farm. Vic continued helping on the farm doing field work, which he enjoyed, until he was 85.

Vic was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville, ushering until the age of 86. He was an officer of the Holy Name Society and the Cemetery Committee. Vic was a 75-year member of Western Fraternal Life Association. He worked as a surveyor for A.S.C.S., was a director of the Manitowoc County Mutual Insurance Company and the Kellnersville Senior Citizens Club. Vic worked for Denmark Building Supply for many years and bartended at Cedar Ridge Banquet Hall for 15 years.

Vic enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers; playing a good game of sheepshead and dancing the Polka with Betty. He also enjoyed going to his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Vic also enjoyed a good Southern Comfort Old Fashion Sweet, his drink of choice. He was a proud father of his two sons, Jeff and Dave and daughter, Jayne and his four grandchildren, Mandy, Dan, Lauren and Lexi.

Kvitek, Kellnersville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff (Tina) Kvitek, Maribel, Dave (Margi) Kvitek, De Pere; one daughter and son-in-law: Jayne (Craig) Tebon, Ripon; four grandchildren: Mandy Kroninger, Madison, Dan Kvitek, San Francisco, CA, Lauren and Lexi Tebon, Ripon; two sisters: Dorothy Krejcarek, Two Rivers; Olive Cretton, Mishicot; one sister-in-law: Germaine Stradal, Whitelaw; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends also survive.
