Violet F. (Blaha) Shedivy

Violet F. Shedivy, age 92, of Two Rivers, passed away Wednesday evening, May 10, 2023, at Northland Lodge, Two Rivers, surrounded by her loving family.

The former Violet Blaha was born on August 9, 1930, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Jisa) Blaha. She graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School in 1948. On September 30, 1950, she married John J. Shedivy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1999. Violet was a member of St. Isadore the Farmer Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Violet was a homemaker, and her family and faith were a priority. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, quilting and was an excellent seamstress.

Survivors include her five children: Theresa Abbet, Manitowoc, Kathleen (Dale) Kopetsky, Mishicot, Linda (Kevin) Scully, Neenah, John (Kathleen) Shedivy Jr., Suring, Mary Flessert (Lance Power), Ft. Atkinson; nine grandchildren: Robert (Kristin) Abbet, Jeffrey (Stacey) Wagner, Steven (Anne) Wagner, David (Alyssa) Shedivy, Lisa (Richard) Miller, Matt Kopetsky, Barbara (Kyle) Peters, Cynthia (Bryan) Woerner, Dr. Amy Flessert (Dr. Michael Stewart); 17 great grandchildren: Autumn & Hallie Wagner, Jack & Natalie Wagner, Ellie, Ava, & Charlotte Shedivy, Clare & Isla Miller, Aaliyah & Liam Peters, Aiden Hagenow, Karla Kopetsky, Lucas & Adrian Woerner, and Jane & Charlie Stewart; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Gerald (Darcy) Blaha, Kenneth (Carol) Blaha, and Lynn Blaha; one sister: Ruth Zeman and one brother-in-law: Raymond Selner; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Mary Blaha; her husband: John J. Shedivy; one grandson: James Abbet; one son-in-law: Donald Abbet; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Gordon (Marie) Blaha, James Blaha; two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Gladys (Leo) Swerbinsky, Marian Selner and Robert Zeman.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at St. Isadore the Farmer Catholic Church, 18424 Tisch Mills Rd, Tisch Mills. The Rev. Dennis G. Drury will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial assisted by Christal Wavrunek pastoral assistant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tisch Mills. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Violet’s name would be appreciated for the Melanoma Research Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
