Walter R. “Wally” Van, age 74, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Walter was born on November 2, 1946 in Daggett, Michigan, son of the late Walter and Edith (Newhouse) Van. In 2003 he married Leona Schuveiler in Manitowoc. Wally spent much of his career as a milk hauler for Belgioioso Cheese in Denmark. He also was a skilled carpenter and loved his cats Harley and Jasper.
Wally is survived by his wife Leona Van, Manitowoc; children: Kathy (Jerry) Huebner, Green Bay; Kerrie (Jake) Davis, Winchester, TN; Tim (Paula) Mayville, Texas; grandchildren: Ian, Hailey, Avery, Riley, Jaden, Cason, Dusty, Brookise, Cheyenne, Isaiah; sisters: Pat (Doug) Bergstrom, Menominee, MI; Delores Budysz; brother: Tom Van, Peshtigo; brother-in-law: Duane Schuveiler, Manitowoc; and kitty-cat: Harley. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Madeline; and son: Neil Mayville.
Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremation Center and private family services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, Michigan.
