Wendy J. King-Carpenter

Wendy J. King-Carpenter, age 59, of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 10, 2022.  

She was born in La Crosse, WI, daughter of the late Jean and Shirley Musial-King.  She was a bartender for many years at the family owned Tower Tavern, and also was employed at Chermake Sausage Company.  Wendy enjoyed watching her favorite team, the Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR races.  Wendy also loved to conversate, whether it was a friend at home or a stranger at the grocery store, it didn't make a difference, and often to the point of telling her to shut it.  

Survivors include her husband of 25 years: Rodney Carpenter; her two sons: Jamie/Theresa & Kyle/Brandy; two grandkids: Dominic and Reyna; one sister: Kari/Joel Nitka; four nephews: Ryan, Cory, Aaron, and Michael; many other relatives and friends also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Melody, one brother: Scott and two special friends: Jill Gonion and Diane. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc.  The family will greet relatives and friends prior to service from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
