William A. Harder, age 81 of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay surrounded by his family.
Bill was born on August 7, 1943 in Manitowoc, son of the late Hubert and Violet (Olson) Harder. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1961 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On June 25, 1966 Bill married the former Carol Brault at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bill was employed as a machinist at Parker Hannifin for forty years until his retirement in 2005. He also worked on the family farm for many years. He enjoyed the Packers, racing, camping with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at his private campground that he built. Bill especially enjoyed his Christmas lights every year.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Carol Harder, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: James (Theresa) Harder, Manitowoc, one daughter and son-in-law: JoAnn (Dean) Hornburg, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Will (Carina) Harder, SC, Tyler (Sarah) Harder, Manitowoc, Crystal Licht and special friend: Bob, Michigan, Tiffany Licht and special friend: Dillon, Two Rivers, Cindy (Al) Wittmus, Two Rivers, Nicole Hornburg and fiancé: Jon, Whitelaw, Katelyn Hornburg and fiancé: Jared, Manitowoc, sixteen great-grandchildren, one sister: Betty (Robert) Popp, Manitowoc, one sister-in-law; Sally Clark, Antigo, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert and Violet Harder; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Clarence and Cecelia Brault; brother-in-law: James Clark; one great-great-grandchild: JJ Harder.
Private Family Services were held at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
