William "Bill" J. Schlink

William J. Schlink “Bill” 82, of Plymouth passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Meadowview Manor in Sheboygan.

Bill was born on  February 26, 1943  in Newark Township, Rock County, WI son to George R. and Beulah E. (Hovey) Schlink. He graduated from Black River Falls High School following which he enlisted in the U.S.Navy serving stateside at Pensacola FL during the Vietnam War.  On October 6, 1973 he was united in marriage to Maggie Graumann.  He was employed as a maintenance mechanic at various companies which included Haysen Company in Sheboygan and US Chrome in Fond du Lac. Bill had many talents, he enjoyed the outdoors along with gardening and metalsmithing. 

Bill was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake.

Bill is survived by his wife, Maggie; his two sons, Michael (Deb) Barany and James (Diana) Barany; two daughters, Erica Schlink and Elizabeth Schlink; grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister and brothers, Pat Ernst, Bob (Lyn) Schlink, Jim Schlink, Tom (Mercedes) Schlink and John (Louie) Schlink; sisters-in-law Lou Jean (Ed) Greger and Karen Graumann.  Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends further survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Bruce Ernst; sister-in-law, Susan Schlink,  brother-in-law Wally Graumann and his father and mother-in-law.

A funeral service for Bill will be held 12 Noon, Tuesday, March 18 at Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake with Rev. Peter Peitsch officiating.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.  Family and friends may visit with the family at the church, 210 Lincoln St. Elkhart Lake on Tuesday from 10:30 am until the time of service at Noon

Bill’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the caregivers at Meadowview Manor and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all their care and support.
